Part of a Growing Circular Network

From recovered cardboard to finished panel.

Every Sustainable Ply panel passes through four stages, from reclaimed cardboard collected across Sussex to a bespoke board manufactured in Lewes. Designed for use, recovery and reuse.

  1. Reclaimed at source.

Every sheet and packaging box begins with cardboard recovered from local businesses across Sussex. Collected, sorted and reprocessed close to home, these materials are transformed into lightweight structural board and bespoke packaging, extending the life of valuable fibre and supporting a more circular manufacturing system.

  2. Formed to bespoke thickness & finishes.

Recovered fibre is formed into a lightweight structural core and bonded between facing layers to create a strong, versatile board. Available in thicknesses from 12 mm to 36 mm, each panel can be tailored to suit display, interior, packaging and creative applications.

  3. Made to your requirements.

Sustainable Ply boards are available in standard sheet sizes or cut to bespoke dimensions. Optional finishing services, including sanding, edge and surface treatment, can be discussed as part of the project specification.

  4. Delivered, used, recovered.

Manufactured in Lewes and supplied across the UK, Sustainable Ply is designed to stay in circulation beyond its first use. At end-of-life (refit, refurbishment, exhibition strike-down or lease-end), panels can be returned for reuse, repurposing or recycling into future products — a practical route to keep valuable materials in use beyond their first application.

What our customers say

“Beautifully smooth, ready-to-hang boards. Light enough to work flat, sturdy enough for layered oil work — the surface lets the paint do its thing.”

Jenni Hodgson, Artist

“Flat, strong, light. They take charcoal and acrylic really well — I’ve ordered more to a bespoke size.”

Nigel Hall RA, Royal Academician

“Our recovered cardboard rerouted into something properly useful — a genuine local circular story we’re glad to be part of.”

Mark Mulholland, Mulholland Wines
