We’ve compared Sustainable Ply to industry-standard 8×4 sheets of plywood, MDF, OSB, and chipboard at both 12mm and 18mm thicknesses.
- Up to 30–40% lighter than MDF and standard plywood at equivalent thicknesses.
- Ideal for CNC-routing, decorative panels, and structural applications where weight is a factor.
Superior Thermal Performance
Our Sustainable Ply sheets offer superior insulation properties compared to traditional materials. For example:
- K-value (thermal conductivity): 18mm Sustainable Ply: 0.05 W/m·K (significantly lower than conventional materials, ensuring better thermal performance).
- R-value: 18mm Sustainable Ply: 0.32 m²·K/W (double the efficiency of standard MDF and plywood).
- U-value (18 mm Sustainable Ply): 3.13 W/m²·K (material only) or 2.04 W/m²·K including standard surface resistances.
